I grew up in Frankfurt, Germany. I moved to the United States completely alone with no family, no safety net, and no roadmap. Everything you see today I built from scratch. Here is how it happened.
These are not strangers. These are clients I worked with directly. Their words are why this page exists.
"I am a psychologist by training. I have read every framework. None of it gave me what Star gave me. He helped me build a foundation underneath my life that finally felt like mine. The clarity I have now is something I could not access on my own."
"Star is the real deal. I have worked with a lot of people in the personal development space and no one has the depth and presence he has. He saw me in a way nobody else has. The work we did together changed my relationship with myself."
"I came to Star stuck in my own head for years. He did not give me another framework to memorize. He gave me a way out. The No Brain Method is the first thing that actually got me out of the loop instead of just naming it."
I was bullied for 7 years in school. I was abandoned. There came a moment where my back was against the wall and I realized no one was coming.
I was sad for a second. Then I made a decision.
"No one is coming. I have to be there for myself."
That decision is the seed of everything I teach now. Every client I have ever coached, every video I have ever made, every page of my book. It all comes back to the moment I stopped waiting to be saved and became my own coach.
I grew up in Frankfurt, Germany and moved to the United States completely alone with no family and no safety net. I had to independently find my own way in a new country from scratch.
To survive I drove Uber and Lyft and worked as a children's entertainer for four years with kids ages 4 to 16. Those years taught me more about human psychology than almost anything else. Children do not hide their emotions. They show you exactly what is happening inside them.
Working with kids opened my heart in a way I did not expect. Children see the world with so few limitations. Their creativity, their honesty, and their unfiltered way of experiencing emotion taught me things no textbook could. That time expanded my own creativity and compassion and shaped how I see and coach people today.
Star stopped driving Uber and working with kids in 2020. For the past six years he has worked exclusively as a coach, speaker, podcast guest, author, and social media creator.
I have a theater background and trained with the Steppenwolf Theater Company. I appeared in a TV show and worked on music videos and short films. Theater taught me emotional presence before I had a name for it. Every scene, every moment on stage in front of an audience taught me how to be fully present, how to feel things completely, and how to move through fear in real time without stopping.
I was living in Toronto working at a vegan restaurant. I got fired after four weeks. With my last paycheck I knew I had to get to Los Angeles. I could not find a ticket I could afford. A friend took me to a flight center and the woman there showed me a price that was exactly the amount of my last paycheck. Not close. Exactly. I flew to Los Angeles. That is not coincidence. That is what happens when you follow your heart with no insistence on the outcome. That moment proved to me that surrender is not a philosophy. It is a technology.
From a very young age I studied spirituality and self help intensely. I read Joseph Murphy and The Power of Your Subconscious Mind. I studied Abraham Hicks deeply, attending 8 workshops and sitting in the hot seat 4 times, several of which are on YouTube. I studied Eckhart Tolle and practiced present moment awareness for years. I attended 4 Bashar workshops and spoke with Bashar directly in the hot seat 3 times, practicing following your excitement with no insistence on the outcome. I did 6 years of weekly Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as a client. I meditated for thousands of hours. I am a deep student of Michael Singer's work including The Untethered Soul and The Surrender Experiment. My first transformational seminar was the Landmark Forum where I completed both the regular and advanced courses.
As you can see this is not someone who read a few books and became a coach. This is someone who spent years in the real world, studied every major framework for human transformation, moved to a new country alone, followed his heart to Los Angeles with his last paycheck, and came out the other side with something real to teach. I did not find a coach who could truly help me. So I became my own. That is why I can help you.
If any of this resonates with you, you can apply for coaching below.
I have been seeking for 18 years for the tools to improve my life. I was abandoned and bullied for 7 years, so I learned early that I could not count on people. What I had was God and myself.
With the need to express myself in the world, I went out and looked for the teachings that would actually change my life. I became my own coach because no human was there to support me on the journey.
I moved continents from Europe to the United States, which made me even more independent. I went on my own with no family.
I started studying theater in college with an intense theater company called the Steppenwolf Company. The other kids had been doing theater since they were 10, and I had no experience. I fearlessly jumped on stage anyway, because I knew I needed to make something out of my life. Unknowingly, I was training my brain to take up space, to take up territory. I coached myself into becoming an ambitious, successful, brave, courageous human one moment at a time.
With no money, I drove Uber and Lyft to get by while trying to land acting jobs on the side. I landed a TV show and some music videos. Then in 2020, everything changed.
I started making videos every day, sharing what helped me, what I was learning, what I was excited about. In June 2020 I reached 100,000 followers. I realized people wanted my advice because I had been coaching myself for 12 years. They asked me how I was so confident, so I made videos about confidence, and they kept asking for more.
Instead of just writing back, I said: "Let me give you a Skype call. You give me the recording in return." The first coaching call I ever had felt completely natural, because I had always done this. I had always coached myself. Now I just had to coach someone else.
Demand grew month after month. Year after year. I doubled, then tripled, then quadrupled my prices. I am still learning, still adding tools. I test them on myself first. If they work, I give them to my clients.
Over the past 6 years, my clients have had real-life successes. Not just feeling better the way most therapy ends. Through practicing emotional fitness and doing more valued actions, they build businesses. They leave toxic relationships. They make more money. They become creators. They start podcasts. They pick up instruments. They post online. They feel free, because they have let go of intrusive thoughts, OCD, ADHD, and depression, and they are living a freer life.
Most of the mental health industry is built on people who learned about the brain in a classroom. They have the degree. They have the textbook. Most of them never actually changed their own brain.
That's like a gym trainer who only read books about lifting and never put a single weight on the bar. They can quote the muscle groups. They can't build them. They have no muscle memory. They don't know what it feels like when your body hits the wall and you push through. So how would they teach you to do it?
Or a tennis coach who studied the game on paper but never picked up a racket. They can describe the grip. They can't feel the swing. They've never been in a real match with the score tight and their hands shaking. That's most mental health professionals.
I spent 18 years practicing. Not just reading. I changed my own brain and built Emotional Fitness because I needed something that actually worked, and what was on the shelf did not. Every tool I give you is something I tested in my own life first.
My approach is different from most coaches and therapists and here is why.
Most approaches to anxiety, OCD, intrusive thoughts, and mental health go extremely specific. ERP for OCD. CBT for anxiety. ACT for intrusive thoughts. And those tools have value. I teach them too.
But here is what nobody talks about.
People with these struggles love to chase the specific solution. The magical key. The one technique that will finally fix everything. And the mental health industry feeds that hunger because specific sells. It gives people the emotional entertainment of feeling like they are finally on the right track.
The problem is that you are not just a set of symptoms. You are a whole human being. And a whole human being cannot be fixed by only working on one thing.
If your car is not running you do not only fix the tires. You look at the engine, the fuel, the structure, the whole system. Fix only the tires and the car still does not run.
If you have a foot injury you do not only treat the foot. You strengthen your entire body, build muscle, improve your overall fitness so the injury heals faster and never comes back.
Your mind works the same way.
What I teach is different.
Yes you get the specific tools. The ACT-based defusion techniques for intrusive thoughts. The ERP framework for OCD. The practical methods for anxiety and panic. The tools for depersonalization and derealization. The strategies for procrastination and taking action.
But you also get the holistic foundation that makes all of those tools actually work. Spirituality and surrender. Meditation and present moment awareness. Physical fitness and how it directly impacts your mental state. Building a real social life and genuine connection. Structuring your days around valued actions. Developing a relationship with God or a higher intelligence. Getting out of your head and into your life.
Without the holistic foundation the specific tools are like fixing the tires on a car with no engine. They help a little but they do not get you moving.
With the holistic foundation the specific tools become exponentially more powerful because your whole system is charged up and ready to use them.
This is why my clients get results that therapy alone never delivered. Not because the specific tools are better. But because for the first time they are working on the whole car, not just the tires.

What sets him apart is simple. He lives everything he teaches. There's no gap between his words and his way of being, and you feel that immediately.
His Emotional Fitness book isn't just insightful, it's transformational. The tools inside are practical, powerful, and actually work. I've personally applied them in my own life and seen real shifts, and I now recommend them to my clients because they create genuine change.
But more than anything, Star cares about you. Not in a surface-level way, but in a way that makes you feel seen, supported, and challenged to step into a higher version of yourself.
If you ever get the opportunity to work with him, take it. It's the kind of decision that changes the direction of your life.
These are some of the foundational principles inside the Emotional Fitness framework. A glimpse into the insights, tools, and shifts people experience when doing this work.
Your life is a garden with seven areas: physical fitness, relationships, creative expression, business, relaxation, fun, and romantic connection. Most people wait for the brain to feel ready before they grow it. Emotional fitness teaches the truth: your garden doesn't care how you feel. It only needs to be watered. Valued actions are the water.
The brain runs an emotional addictive engine, pulling you into rumination, compulsions, and avoidance to protect you from discomfort. Emotional fitness teaches you to shift your GPS from reacting to feelings to acting on values. Tools like the No Brain Method give you a moment-to-moment practice for making that shift, even in the middle of anxiety or fear.
Emotional fitness is built the same way physical fitness is, through daily repetition. That means silent meditation to build the capacity to hold uncomfortable emotions, thankfulness journaling to shift your morning from reactive to positive, and scheduling your valued actions the night before so the brain cannot fill that space with compulsions. The practice compounds. So does the strength.
Emotional Fitness is the culmination of years of personal struggle, deep study, and real transformation. This is the book that thousands of people have used to completely shift their relationship with their own minds โ not because someone told them to, but because it met them exactly where they were.
This book stands on its own as a powerful starting point and a genuine introduction to what emotional fitness actually is. Clear, practical, and honest in a way that will make you feel seen from the first page.
Real people. Real results. From the first page to the last.
I finished your book two days ago, and I can confidently say it changed the way I view the thoughts that come into my mind and my emotions. I've read so many self-help books and listened to countless podcasts, but your book was what ultimately changed my perspective โ because of how simple you made it. I don't listen to my emotions or the thoughts anymore. I focus on my valued actions. I'm grateful.

I've read your Emotional Fitness book and started meditating. Honestly the book and your content healed me more than most other things I've tried and give me hope. I'm going to keep working on being more outside of my head.
Very practical, step by step, easy to understand, fun to read. It is helping me a lot to practice the tools. I feel less anxiety and stress. My inner dialogue is transforming to a more present and positive one.
